 Pop Tabs for Peace!
The 9th Annual Pop Tabs for Peace collection is now underway.
As part of the Holocaust unit in 9th grade Modern World History, students are again collecting pop tabs this year to try and visualize the magnitude of approximately 12 million victims (1 pop tab = 50 victims).
During the past 8 years over 1,000,000 pop tabs have been collected and donated to the Ronald McDonald House through our Hudson McDonald’s. The tabs may be dropped off in Mr. Friedl’s Room 234. Arrangements can also be made for pick-up if needed.
The last day for the pop tabs to be turned in: Friday, May 25, 2012. Thank you for your continued support!

EP ROCK TUTORING IS BACK!
Youth Action Hudson is working with EP Rock to provide high school students to go over after school on Mondays and/or Thursdays (starting November 17) to tutor and mentor many of their students. Being a Spanish student is a bonus, but not an absolute requirement.
If anyone is interested they can come up to the Youth Action table at lunchtime to sign up or sign up with Mr. Ellingson (117E). There will also be a training at the high school on Monday Nov. 14 at 2:45 in the HHS Career Center, which will be done by Amy Hamborg from EP Rock.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for job and college applications and future letters of recommendation.
